Mud pumps are used to produce aerated concrete equipment to pump mud, mortar and fluids containing sludge and corrosive liquids. It is also an essential equipment in aerated concrete equipment. The choice of each component is very important. In this article, we will introduce the selection of slurry pump flanges and the precautions for installation of slurry pump flanges.
When purchasing a slurry pump, check whether the flange shape meets the requirements, whether the sealing surface is smooth, whether there are mechanical damage, gouging marks, radial scratches, severe corrosion, welding defects, residual oil and other defects. When installing the slurry pump flange, please pay attention to the following issues:
1. The two flanges are on the same centerline and parallel. It is not allowed to insert bolts or pointed crowbars into the bolt holes to correct the flange, so as to prevent the bolts from bearing greater stress.
2. Before installing the slurry pump flange, please carefully clean the flange sealing surface and the water pipe sealing pipeline. Spiral wound gaskets are suitable for flanges without dense sealing lines, but they can also be used with flange sealing lines with water pipes.
3. When the gasket is installed forward, it will not be deformed to ensure uniform pressure and prevent the gasket from extending into the pipeline and being corroded by the medium and generating eddy currents.
4. To ensure that the washer is evenly pressed, the bolts should be tightened symmetrically and evenly 2-3 times.
5. In order to avoid bending and biting the bolt when tightening the nut, if the back of the flange is rough, a washer should be placed under the nut.
6. In order to prevent the bolts from being removed during maintenance, the flange should be disassembled and repaired on the bolt-nut joint at a moderate temperature higher than 300°C and Pg≤40kg/cm2 first. The temperature of the medium rises to 200-250°C. Loosen the bolt with bolt loosener, and then restore the nut 30-60 degrees in advance.
